There were some old Caterpillar, I think D6 skid dozers, built with four
tires. Here is a video but don't know if it is a Cat.

TD-9 on rubber. Quite a bit easier on asphalt. Jim

Except a TD9 was a 4 cylinder. I think IH was looking to sell some to the military. When the Harris Power Horse came out Oliver did some experimenting with a model B crawler that the tracks had been replace with 4 equal sized drive wheels

Up to TD14 they were 4 cylinder. TD18 was 6, with 2 cyl heads. All were Gas start diesel run. Prototypes were just that. Jim
