I'm headed to Bastrop TX tomorrow for a show associated with their FFA livestock show. They have a great show sponsor and supporter, First National Bank, and even though the weather forecast isn't real encouraging, I want to support them.

Wish I could go. I always liked driving through that patch of Pines between Houston and SATX. Also, not too far from Brenham and the Blue Bell creamery. :wink:

kcm, that patch of pines is pretty short right now after the terrible fires of Sept. and Oct of 2011. There has been a big
replanting effort and the forest is recovering but they are trees and they take their time. I go birding and hiking in the State
Park several times a year.
