I have a brother 12 years younger. One place of much hilarity was the dinner table, but we older kids were not to laugh at the baby's antics, so we came up with tying our shoe as an excuse to bend down out of sight...

A friend had to go to court when one of his kids got in trouble with the law. Later he commented that the court room was almost the same as it was back when he was in front of the judge as a teenager. He couldn't tell that to his wife or kids, but we had a good laughed about it.

For me, what was really the hardest part, was not actually being too mad when they did something that WASN'T hilarious. gm

I can relate to that!

I once had to pull our daughter's car out of a road ditch with a 4x4 pickup at 4am. It was prom night, or she'd never have been out that time of night.

A couple of days later, she commented that she didn't know if I'd be mad or laugh about it. I told her there wasn't a lot I could say as I'd been there a few times myself.

She said, "I thought you probably had been, but I didn't want to bring that up unless I had to".

My 2 youngest girls were always side by side and did everything together. I got the older of the 2 a mini bike when she was 7 or 8, after teaching her the basics of riding it I went back to work. No more than 20 minutes later she comes flying down the driveway with lil Sis riding on the back in her bikini. I was mad only because I was worried about the inexperienced driver carrying a passenger especially wearing a swim suit and a gravel driveway . Well I got about halfway towards them ready to give 'em a scolding when I couldn't help but break out laughing cuz they were just soo darn cute ! That image is still one of my favorite summertime memories !
