Tractor pulling

I've noticed in these videos from other countries that there are hardly ever any JD's. Are they just not as popular as they are here in the US?. They still seem to love the Fords though.

Wow thats a tough sled to get going, did you notice how long and high the chain is? A sled set up like that would put most of our pullers into full whineing mode. Plus the track is too wet, too narrow, waaa waa waa.
I think it makes for an interesting pull as compared to the same easy start, pan drop set ups we see here.

Looks weird where on some of the tractors the camera makes it look like the front rims are turning forward but the tires are turning backwards.

Sure;for the same reason the stagecoach wheels were turning backwards while the robbers were chasing it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ronnie I have noticed that high hitch on foreign tractors I?ve always wondered how and why they do it

Barnyard I ran a big case ih steiger that would hop
hard enough to snap your neck I don?t think the tires
ever completely left the ground through

Farmer I worked for, we had to have all 24 psi the sidewalls called for in all 8 tires on a 300 hp steiger.

1st gear half throttle pulling a ripper, jumping like that.

Runing the tires on one end- front or back- at lower pressure stops it.

In that big red Steiger I ran it would hop so bad it would kill the engine because you couldn?t get to the clutch it was jumping so hard . A little tire pressure adjustment and it was better until you got pulling it hard
