I hope I'm not out of line posting this. Royse called me yesterday afternoon and told me that Joan, his significant other, passed away unexpectedly yesterday morning.

Kim and I send our deepest sympathy and condolences. I meant what I said on the phone,if you need anything, let us know,we're right up the road.

Probably not the place to beat up on you for the trendy lingo, but that could mean his girl friend of three weeks or his wife of 30 years. From the tone it sounds closer to the latter and that is a terrible sad thing. Very sorry to hear it. Hope he is doing OK and has people helping him through it.

They've been together for 10 years. Don't mean to be vague, but I didn't want to get in to a lot of personal detail. I just wanted to let folks know and give everybody a chance to express their sympathy.

Royce means a lot to us and if he had that 10 years they very valuable to each other and their friends. May she rest in peace. Royce, take with you all the memories and glorious times to cherish. If we can support you in any way across the world, don't hesitate to interact. Jim

I lost my wife after her ten year battle with cancer. The support of friends is very important. Good friends can help you get through some bad times. Royse has some hard times facing him. But he will make it.

I generally don't post to these kinds of threads, just say a prayer and move on; but dang fellow Michigander, so sorry for your loss.

JD

Royce4, you certainly have our condolences and our deepest sympathy. I remember meeting and speaking with you one August at the Oakley, MI old tractor show. I remarked I had been a resident of Ionia for 5 years, and you lived nearby.

Not out of line Randy, and thank you and Kim for the support.
Thanks to everyone else for the support too.

Joan was everything to me and I'm devastated.
Many of you met her either at a tractor show or at our place.

She helped me refurbish most of the old tractors I've posted
pictures of here on the forum. 25 or more in the last 10 years.
Quite impressive. Especially for a city girl!
We had just bought another one Friday and she was looking
forward to warmer weather so we could get started on it.

The Farmall BN was her tractor. We built it so we could give the
grandkids rides and ride together in parades and at tractor shows.

She was 52.

Condolences Royse. Sorry to read the bad news. Remember the good times. Thanks Randy. Richard

Sorry to hear. Royse was the one to let me know about shimming the starter switch on the ford I am working on in spare time. Let me know if you need anything Mark.

I am very sorry for your loss Royse. There is nothing that can be said to make it better for you right now.

I don't know Royse, but read his posts,, I'm very sorry for the loss of his Wife. Prayers sent.

So sorry you've endured such a terrible loss. I hope the difficult days ahead go as well as possible. It tests one's faith that life is so uncertain. You obviously have many friends here to lean on , if you need to. Hoping you and your families find some comfort in each other .

Royse, Sorry to hear about your loss. Saying my prayers for you. Thanks Randy for posting, otherwise we'd never know.

My deepest sympathy to Royce. I lost my wife of 48 years in 2015 to a brain tumor. We did almost everything together and she liked tractors almost as much as her sewing machines. I am sure he is devastated. You feel as if you have lost 1/2 of your self and you just don't bounce back overnight. He needs love and understanding. So just let him grieve at his own pace. Everybody grieves differently. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Just remember she is not suffering anymore.God is taking care of her now.

Royse,
Sorry to hear about Joan. I haven't seen you in a few years as I couldn't make it out to Oakley.
Prayers sent your way.
Rick

Rosey,
My wife and I will continue to pray for you and pray that God will ease your sorrow. My wife and I are really close and we do just about everything together. I can't imagine what it would be like to lose her. I almost have a few times, and just the close calls have had a tremendous affect on me.
