Farmall Super C belt pulley shaft size

What size is the shaft that belt pulley attaches to on a Farmall Super C? I want to be able to take off the belt pulley and put a Sprocket on there for an attachment, but I do not know what size Sprocket bore is needed to fit on the shaft. I assume it is keyed, maybe 3/4 or 1 inch diameter?

Thanks,

John

1.125 is 1 1/8". Common small pto size. 8N fords and others use that size.'Modern' standard size is 1 3/8.Your C should have that one.I was going to suggest you take the pulley off to look and measure.

Like has been said 1-1/8" is a PTO size. I think you'll find the right angle drive belt pulley has a tapered spline. Easiest would be to buy another pulley for a C and machine it down to weld on what you want.

When I put a sprocket on a C to drive a hydraulic pump for a log splitter I put the sprocket on the PTO, removed the belt pulley drive, and made a cover for it. We used the same sprocket to drive a smaller sprocket to drive a pulley for a belly mower too.

Woods belly mowers drive off the pulley, they have a special taper lock hub for the v belt pulley that matches the tapered shaft if you can
find that hub you can attach any pulley or sprocket that is for that hub series/size.
