I've got a few of those in one of my folders,but they actually use some of those words,so I'd better not post them.

That is one of the things that is wrong with this country-guys like you that think it is cute to swear- You listen to a crowd of young people talk and every other word is a curse word. Do you allow curse words in your so called "kingdom"-God does not like it in his-read the Third Commandment---Tee

I was taught that people who used such language were simply too ignorant to be able to express themselves without it. When I taught my kids I told them that I did not have to use profanity to let someone know I was angry. My tone and the look on my face was plenty enough communication. :)

Which brings back memories. At least 3 times in 30 years guys have let go with profanity on the other side of my desk to the extent that I stood up and came around the end of the desk. In all cases those people left the building in a hurry and not once did I swear at any of them. :D

As far as I am concerned those that think every third word out of their mouth needs to be a profanity are only openly disclosing their IQ to everyone around them.

On the other hand when it comes to the well spoken portion of the population and the rare occasion comes up when they use an as said above (sentence enhancer) it's probably best you pay attention to the point they are trying to get across to you.

Had a welding teacher back in high school, did not matter how mad he was or how catastrophic the situation was the worst that I ever heard come out of his mouth was;

You dirty buggers

Now If you heard those words come out of Mr.Stanford's mouth you knew it was time to pay attention as the riot act was about to be read.

Interesting how I can remember him and his demeanor from 35 years ago, yet even if I think hard I can not recall anything memorable about anyone flapping their lips with profanity's from a week ago.

Somehow the topic of cursing and filthy language came up between a coworker and me.

He has stated that he is a Christian, even though he sometimes embarrasses himself with language. He said he just can't help it, learned it in the Navy.

I told him there was a time in my life that I would cuss with the best of them, but I did control it depending on the place and the audience, and I am sure he does too.

Cursing just does not fit his demeanor. I'm sure he only does it trying to sound tough or cool or whatever the situation is at the time.

I pointed out to him that most people who make bad language a continuous part of their everyday communication are simply using it as a stall tactic, just like the person that constantly says "Yeah man, you know man, and ummmm, well you know, uhhh what I mean...".

They can't think fast enough to carry on a normal conversation without the stalling and shock factor of the bad language.

Something must have struck a nerve, because I haven't heard one bad word out of him since!

I had a guy that worked beside me many years ago that told me he tried to hold the swearing down when I was around. He wasn't very successful. Oh my!!! It was colorful. Many times I had to laugh because he had it down to an artform.

Hey John--Are you doing your Mel Tillis impersonation again--ce-ce--ce--center post--Yo-yo-yo-your song-can't you think of something better than that?---Tee
