The Cyrillic alphabet title tells me it is a Ukrainian who posted it. Man, those guys can work wonders with a pile of old parts, they could probably have landed a lunar rover 50 years ago if they wanted to. The translation reads literally ..... "Homemade Picker" but different computer translator sites might read it slightly different.

i wonder how it gets a bale started right and how tight a bale it is.
i wouldn't think it would work on wet hayledge.
very simple. way simpler than what we can buy here.. maybe not as reliable but simple. not real safe either

If you look through Youtube there are a lot of them posted from the Ukraine. And they all use basically the same parts. It makes me think that they're not as much "home made" as they are just repurposed parts from other balers. The type of baler is basically the type you could buy here back in the 70s. Gehl made the drum roller style before going to belts. There were others too, but I can't remember the names. There's no pressure so the bale isn't real tight on the inside. It's similar to a fixed chamber/soft core type of bale, but obviously those aren't big enough to get the packed outer shell.
Yanmar has a compact baler that makes that same sized round bale. It was on display at the National Farm Machinery Show last week in Louisville. The bale size reminded me of the AC Roto Baler from the 50's.The Yanmar that was at the NFMS is displayed on you tube. It would be a couple dollars more than the Ukranian model.
