Pushed snow for a buddy!

A view from the drivers seat. One of my buddies fell and broke his ankle the other day and we got another 8 inches of snow so I went over to push his snow today. His wife has to get out in the morning for she has a shoulder operation-when it rains--it pours.---Tee

Before I left I went in his house and shot the bull with him. He fell on the ice backwards and sat on his leg and broke the small bone in his leg-right at the ankle--no cast-has to stay off of it for 6-8 weeks--OUCH--Nice guy I have run with him since grade school....

Are you getting tired of pushing/blowing snow like I am???? It seems every time I get things cleaned up and thawed out we get some more snow. Makes a long day with livestock chores.

Nice of you to help him out. Sounds like what I did 19 years ago. Feb 22...fell on my ankle, a plate and 7 screws later....laid up for 2 months. Better half and the kids stepped up to make sure the cows got milked, etc. With field work, the boys hooked up equipment, filled the drill, etc. before school. Good lesson in "family farming". I saved the notebook they had in the barn to communicate with so that everything got done.

No SV--Wish it was quite often. But I am like you--pushed snow for years with a 3020 and a 48 loader and a blade on the 3-point. No cab-No heathouser-froze my butt off. I am too old for that--Thanks---Tee

Watching the news it looks like we got a double whammy coming at us-At my place I am running out of room to pile the stuff. Hurry it up Spring!---Tee

You can keep all that white stuff up your way! Better yet ill trade you for the ice we are supposed to get tomorrow. I took a load of fats to market last night and I did not see the U boat that chased you off in the muscatuck river bottoms. The road was clear but fields are still flooded

Let me know if you see that U-boat--That's what my squadron did when I was in the Navy-anti-submarine warfare. This was one of the planes I worked on. We were called the "Grim Reapers Of The East Coast"---Tee

it may have been lurking around a week ago with all the water. I went thru 2 feet of water just to pick my youngest up and her grandparents, if I would of waited any longer I would of had to take the 8430 to get her.

You are a good neighbor. Here in northwest Iowa we do don't have quite that much snow though it looks like the situation will change by tomorrow morning.

Good for You
That s what good friends do , help each other out when needed . I always try to help my friends & neighbors when ever I can.
Seeing the Aircraft Carrier reminded me when I went to Jacksonville & rode the Ike to V.B . on the Kitty cruise . Sure was a lot different than what the Air Force did . Quite a enjoyable trip .
