Good for him, he's spending his kid's inheritance .... ha! If you wanna make sure your kids and grand kids are sad and unhappy at your funeral, give all of your money to charity (or spend it on a hot rod pulling tractor).

We were there Friday night, didn't get to see Don pull but payed tribute to John Mumma and watched his son in law pull his truck

John was killed in a wreck on his way to the Farm Machinery Show Wednesday morning

Pop told us kids, "you know those families that fight over money when the old people die off?" "You kids won't have to worry about that because your mom and I are going to spend every nickel we have before we go." gm

That wreck was close to my house, could see the smoke from the burning semis. The interstate was closed for 11 hours.

I saw that tractor on a ad for the farm show last week. I am still wondering how you get 3000 hp with an exhaust that restricted. Maybe someone can explain?

Had a Purdue collage friend who got very good in his tractor pulling. Red man and Firestone bankrolled his expenses after he got well up in the ranks.

Tee there are just a lot of folks out there that think ever farmer in the country is farming with borrowed money. Hard for them to believe that 74% of the farmers in MY state are debt free. As bad as the news tries to make it there is still a lot of old money in farming. If he wants to spend some of his on tractor pulling so be it.

Many years ago a pullers farm sponsored and financed the pulling tractor.
Today sponsor money for the pulling tractor finances the farming operation.

Don and son Kevin whom also pulls are a class act....My boss at 3M was a college room mate of Kevins and went on the road with them pulling one year while on summer break...He said it was a blast..

Don and his son Kevin have each pulled John Deere Pro Stock tractors since the 1980's..Kevin started when in college in the late 80's..

The Mastersons have a huge grain farm in the Ohio River bottom near Grandview,Indiana...I'll guarantee you that their farm pays the way for two very hard running John Deere Pro Stock tractors that are both in the 3300-3500 horsepower range..
