I reckon what they need for grooming the beach is the same kind of machines we use up here for grooming snow trails.

I learned to pay attention to tides up in Alaska. I loaded my boat at low tide and then my motor would not start. 35 foot tides! I ran up to the road and flagged down a guy in a pickup and he pulled me out. Whew! I was lucky!

Here on Long Island most contractors use LGP D6 or D8 on beach nourishment projects to spread out the spoil areas

(quoted from post at 09:50:26 02/15/19) Guess they didn?t get the memo: when you realize you?re stuck;stop!!!

Thing of it is if he got stuck at low tide and by the time they got there the tide came in? That can make all the difference in the world.

Did lots of work below the high tide level. Always had a great respect for it. Somebody decided there was no way that setup could get stuck.
I tried to help get a stuck R model Mack tractor and dump trailer loaded with rip rap out that had gotten stuck on the beach. It was too late, waves were already splashing over the top of it by the time we got there.
