I just returned from the Ag Expo in Tulare, California and thought some might enjoy a picture or two. Tulare is in the San Joaquin Valley, a magnificent stretch of irrigated land about the same size as Lake Michigan. ( fifty to seventy miles wide and about two hundred and fifty miles long ) Four major fruit trees including Orange, Grapefruit, Lime and Lemon and four nut trees including Pecan, Pistachio, Almond and Walnut. Also there is countless acres of Grapes both table and winery along with nearly every kind of vegetable known to man. There is also a million and a half cows being milked in Tulare County. I have been on the farm my entire life but about half of the equipment at this show I had to expose my ignorance and asked what it was used for. Here is a few pictures of what I mean.
