I threw 520 bales of hay today, most of them twice down out of the barn mow then out the door onto the trailer. Kind of a tired old 75 year old tonight. Good exercise to get ready for the 2019 hay crop. Had an advantage as it was 20 degrees this AM. In June it'l be 85 and sunny.

Good on ya ! I put the chains on my truck today and was sweating at the end (mind you these were new cable chains - HD- and were stiff). Even tried them out.

Wow, that's about a 1000 bales you handled. I'm only 65 and doubt I could spring into action and handle that many in one day. I usually have to work my way into it in summer. 200 today, then 300 2 days after, then 500 next week.

Been a long time since i could do that, and I?m only 71. Last summer I managed 200 off the elevator in the top of a hot barn, and I was done for the day.

That's what I keep telling myself - the exercise is good for me... I've got one more load to go out, but I still can't get him up my driveway with all of the ice from that last thaw

I'm 65, sitting in FL (where I go for 3 months in the winter) reading these responses and thinking; I have no interest in finding out how many bales of hay I can still throw.
