A Lincoln farm sale

The internet says 30 acres once owned by Abe Lincoln near Charleston IL sold for 10,000 per acre yesterday. The acreage was part of 590 ac tract that sold for something like 4.2 million. Seems like for every guy retiring there is several guys willing to take over his land. We're not going hungry anytime soon.

Bout the same around here in central Illinois David - Hasn't dropped a whole lot yet with the lower crop prices.
I don't think the Abe Lincoln "farm" affected the price much

Today, farmland is a place to park money. Money can be made from it and unlike a building it may not fall over or burn down.
