What started out to be a fairly easy job, just turned into a mess. Just a fuel filter change, what could go wrong? I broke the little blue clip on the filter inlet fitting. Now I can't get the fitting off to change the filter. Any suggestions? Stan

Cut the stupid little clip out of the fitting with a sharp Exacto knife to release the filter, they are available separately.

I?ve used a piece of stiff wire doubled up to make a horseshoe shape and replaced the plastic clip with that until I could get a new clip

Don't feel bad, 2 grains of dust can lock them up solid. You should have the clips like Bob posted above, if so the center part of the clip needs to be pulled up/out a little bit first, then push the tab in to release line. The locking tab I'm talking about is the bottom section of the clip in the above pic. I usually use the older style fuel line release tool to help with these style clips, the metal scissor type release tool.
