IH 484 dash question

Friend just bought an IH 484 at an auction today
Texted me a picture of this panel. Asked what the yellow light in the bottom left indicated.
Also. Has this circular hole in dash as well.
I am not an IH guy so I figured someone here would know.

the light is the parking brake indicator. the hole is for the t.a.handle if it came with that option or for a shuttle shift there should be be a plug if those features are missing.

Yes, as Donald said, yellow light is parking brake indicator. DO NOT DRIVE IT with PARKING BRAKE ON as it will chew up the parking brake band and the bits will be all through the hydraulic/trans/diff oil. This is one of the common faults with the 54/74/84 series tractor, the parking brake could be partially ON but not enough to stop the tractor from moving when driven. The 95 series CIH put a flashing light as a parking brake indicator. On the later series CIH redesign the parking brake to be a clutch pack with more locking power.
Re hole in dash, tractor could have had a T/A or shuttle shift that someone removed the handle. Check on top of the transmission just behind the the bellhowsing for shaft with a lever on it. If there was no T/A or shuttle shift, the hole was plugged with a chrome plug.
