Hey, you squeezin' in on my territory?? *lol*

That's an awesome pic! Do you by chance have any info on it?

Looks like a fun project. Thanks for posting!!

It was at an auction that I went to a few years ago. It appeared to have been used at least some. Maybe it didn't work as well as the builder thought it would. I thought it hadn't been used much because I figured the gears would have shown more wear if it had. The engine still turned over but was not running.

should , or did work, looks like a ford model T bones, and maybe a kit to convert one to a mower, geared way down thru the 2 gears, which also run a jack shaft to run the mower pitman arm, pretty cool

Model T. The rear end is upside down. The drain plug should be on the right and down low. Not up as in the picture.

The "rear end" NEEDS to be downside-up because the single spur gear drive to the rear wheels reverses direction.

So the outputs of the axle have to turn "backwards" to drive the wheels "forwards".

Flipping the entire axle assembly over accomplishes this.

The guy that built it was CLEVER!

(Or didn't like trying to mow in reverse!)

That reminds me of a "help identify" picture of a similar T powered mower I saw many years ago. It was in a magazine but I don't know if it was Farm and Ranch Living, Farm Collector, or some other. That picture was from the front and it was hard to tell how the mower was powered.

I'm guessing the left 'bull gear' drives the mower and the right one only turns the right wheel.
