4610 ford tractor

4610 should have the independent pto and its own clutch that is hydraulically engaged. SO.. you could have a bad low pressure pump in the hydraulic pump, or a leak in the low pressure side, bad on/off valve, a badly worn retainer arm, or a bad pto clutch. a service manual will telll you how to measure the low pressure and help diagnose the problem. I dont remember dual power being availible on a 4610 but it would also use the low pressure system and could affect the pto operation. Any special use derivative model with "dry brakes" would be different.

Is the lever coming bad out of gear or the pto no working properly?
The lever has a detent pin and spring inside the housing to keep in in the position you select.
