How many labor hours is it supposed to take to replace both hydrostatic and hydraulic pump seals on a 1998 New Holland lx865.
I'm doing it myself with a helper, wanted a good idea what to pay him.
 
It?s been a long time since I?ve did that job but we
never went off the flat rate books anyway first time
working in the belly of skid loader isn?t a picnic I?d
pay 10 or 12$ an hour on whatever time it takes
 

Usually you need to pay a helper more than you figure that you can get for your own time, if you think that you may want him back. A major factor is that he is getting paid most likely only for while he is working, and there is no comp or insurance or retirement or FICA involved. 20 years ago I paid a friend $15.00/ hour to help me deliver hay.
 
It depends on who does all the physical work and who watches who. Is your helper just going to be a wrench fetcher; or get down into the belly of the beast.
Around here a person with mechanical abilities is worth $20 bucks/hr. or better working under the table.

I needed help from a young fellow who worked as a mechanic, I paid him same rate as his company but paid cash. If the job took 1hour and 15 minutes he was paid for two, and I bought lunch. I only needed him a couple of times but he was happy and I was very pleased with his work.
 
I'm really looking for how many hours its supposed to take by the book.
I've left him in charge because I needed to handle another job.
If someone could help me with this I'd greatly appreciate it
 
If he has no skid loader experience it will be
awfully tough to pay him flat rate and you guys
remain friends
 
I've gave him 1000.00$ as of now. I'm going to pick up the skid tomorrow.
I've paid for all parties. How much more should I or shouldn't.

You could call the local cnh dealer and he could tell
you what you want to know just tell em what you
want done and about how many hours they think it
will take
