DX60 Reversing Wheels

Rneighbors

New User
My neighbor across the road has a CaseIH DX60 that has the rear tires so close together that some implements can's be attached to the 3 point hitch.
My question, where can we find information on the proper way to reverse the wheels?
Thanks!

Seriously, your friend really should get at least the operator's manual, and maybe the service/repair manual, when he goes to the dealer for numerous reasons he will find to use them in years to come. There are some used manuals on eBay as well, make sure serial number range matches his tractor. You can access the parts manual for free on line at the Case site.

If his DX60 has loop type rims; changing the tread width is basically a function of which side of the wheel center the rim loops are on, which way the center is mounted, and which side the of the tractor a wheel is on. In the manual there should be a chart similar to the John Deere one attached, which will show you the arrangement for different widths. Be careful if you change them, especially if the tires are loaded, they can hurt people if they fall on someone.

Thanks so much. My friend's father owned the tractor, and he died. We have been looking but can't find the owner's manual.
I will get on line and order one, but we were trying to figure out how to change the wheels in the meantime. So, I took a shot in the dark and tried this forum.

Nothing on YouTube so far......just people in India showing me how to back a tractor up! ;) I tried "reversing wheels/rims" and got back up videos!

Search YouTube for "changing wheel tread on my MF 135" . The guy in the video has the tire and center off the tractor. He moves the center with the tire laying on the floor, but it may give you the idea.
