What type of hydraulic fluid is better travelers or jd hy gard fluid. Jd fluid has some additive to help with stuff, anyone else had better remarks or comments.

JD Hyguard, and CaseIH Hytran are equivalent oils. Others are either kinda like, or as good if they meet the spec on the container. I go with the full magilla brand name. Jim

I?ve ran the yellow bucket 303 for years until I bought a poweshift tractor then I upgraded to the premium spec j20c harvest king oil I?ve also used Mobil 424 but the brakes chatter a lot more when using it compared to the harvest king . Only problem with the 303 I?ve ever had is it?s a little cold blooded at 30 below zero and a little more brake chatter comparable to the Mobil 424

What are you putting it in? 303 is only good for a hydraulic jack or maybe a small engine driven wood splitter. 303 is flush oil, no telling what it is exactly since it doesn't conform to any particular spec. Ask yourself this question, do I want to put the absolutely cheapest oil I can find in a $10K+ machine?

Brian There is nobody that polices the spec of hydraulic oils period unlike engine oils so there?s no telling whether that high priced Italian oil has anything better in it that the 303 except a red dye . I know lots of people including myself who use the 303 with absolutely no problem a guy I do some work for runs in it everything from a maxxum case ih to a kubota another guy runs it In every piece of construction equipment he owns including the wet systems on his semis and dump trucks
