Dodged a bullet

In this part of Virginia, we have had record amounts of rain, Saturday night it poured a couple more inches, but the temps stayed just above freezing. The forecast was for up to a foot of snow, never happened. By sunday night we went into a deep freeze. It would have been ugly.
Glad these old fellows never had to hit the roads.

Any idea what they get for being available? Here in NH plow contractors get a lot just for having the truck ready to work.

Up here the plow drivers are crying due to lack of snow.

I should have added that our first storm this year was like that what a mess, my driveway is finally smoothed out and looks good but I don't know how it will look this spring.

I talked with my son in Wi this morning, He's president of the snowmobile club. He says the fields are still brown. Just west of Abbotsford. We got about 14 inches here in central NY
