Problem with my John Deere 2755

My 2755 creeps ahead when I have the clutch peddle pushed down. I am not sure what the problem is and would like to see if anyone has any ideas before tearing the tractor apart.

I guess I'd start by adjusting the clutch per the service manual. If that model even is adjustable ? Do you have a cab ? If so I think those have a hyd. slave cylinder and that could be a trouble spot.

I agree with Mike M check clutch pedal free travel & if it's in spec's either clutch disk is warped or pilot brg in flywheel is rough. I think hyd hi-lo isn't the problem.

. Is the dry clutch properly adjusted ? Is the pilot bearing grabbing ? Find this out before spending time and money tearing into the high/low pack .
The high low pack is either in high or low , it is not a clutch per say.
Have you pulled the inspection cap off the side of the belhousing and had a look inside ?
