This is the first time the 4020 has been inside a shed in 15 years and she needs a Little tlc before spring . Going to replace the center steering arm both inner tie rod ends and reseal the pto output shaft which has been leaking for as long as I can remember then reseal the breakaway couplers and replace one barrel on them that?s cracked around the ball and one of the scvs under the hood is leaking also going to a do little paint touch up and get the other Firestone put on the back . Scraped snow for my friend at his new horse tonight and the hydraulic cylinder worked flawlessly and no leaks which I was surprised considering the things it?s gone through

I guess a picture of a 3020 got in there somehow adjusted the valves checked the timing and it needs some scv work as well and some 3 point hitch work

Be careful there SV, you could walk in there one morning and find that you got carried away cleaning and paint prepping the night before and there is nothing left on the bare motor, trans, and rear end.

JohnV2000 Thanks I went through it once and did
the mechanical work and it looked really nice until I
put a loader on it and then the condition of the
tractor went down pretty fast

ohiojim Thanks it?s almost never been in a shed in 40 years sometimes but it usually has had to live outside

showcrop I know what you?re saying I could easily
go crazy and just repaint the whole thing it?s hard to
stop once you start

I keep auto correct turned of as it does not want to let me spell my own name or town. I know I do make a lot of spelling mistakes but that auto correct will not help you get the correct spelling. The older I get the more mistakes I make. Have passed the three quartes of a century mark.

Leroy, I am only 5 years behind you. It appears to me that a lot of guys here at YT have been forgetting about the part of the grumpy old Phart pledge that they took when joining agreeing to avoid the acceptance of all new modern conveniences and technology.

Leroy Hopefully you?ll be around here for a long time yet . I was just reading through an old John Deere manual and it gives information on resharpening the old style plow shares it made me think of you I may have to try my hand at sharpening one I?m not sure quite how to get it hot enough though . This stupid autocorrect has a kind of it?s own then I?m also using a phone to Post and it has predictive text where even with the auto correct off it will think for itself and add words it thinks you might want so you have to be a little careful
