Knowledge can lead to sorrow.

Before you ask your wife how the truck got dented,
ask yourself if you really desire to have that pain.
Having the dent is bad enough.
Finding out she ran into the tractor with it,
might cause you more pain.

FIL. was working on the engine on JD 45 combine in shed back in 1977. Had MIL. try and start. It was in gear and it did start. Back into brand new Chev Caprice. Whose fault was it? He shut it off in gear but she did not hold clutch in when starting.

An insurance agent in town got his start in the business in a similar way. He backed his milk truck in to his wife's car and his insurance wouldn't cover it. He decided he wanted to sell insurance and spell out to his customers just exactly what their insurance did and didn't cover.

I was trying to teach my new wife how to park a boat one evening. She was backing into the slip (first mistake on my part) so to prevent smacking the outboard on the dock, I ran to the back leaning over the motor, I told her to put it in Forward and give a bit of gas.
Well, with me precariously hanging over the back and her changing the direction of the vessel rather abruptly, I did a beautiful swan dive into the water with her out in the middle of the lake by herself.
End of lessons

Funny cause I dented my truck with the tractor yesterday. Put the loader frame into the side of the bed. Woops, good thing it's the ranch rig. Poor thing has had a rough month, 2 weeks ago I dropped a big bale on the tailgate... i dont have a tailgate anymore.

4 or 5 years ago the wife told me she dented the plastic rear bumper on our grand cherokee. I asked how. She said she backed into the tractor I left in the driveway turn around. I went and looked. Sure enough bumper was dented. Looked at the tractor. She hit the side of the front tire. Pushed my farmall 300 wide front end sideways 2 feet. I asked her how fast she was backing up. She said "like I always do". I stopped asking question then !

> Country song said it with less words "Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then".

You must be the first person to ever accuse Saint Bob Seger of being country.

See? You got smart real quick. You stopped asking questions.
I just threw the truck and tractor out there for a long shot.
I guess it wasn't long enough.
My favorites are the wife hitting the truck with the tractor.
Real bad visibility on that orange over-sized machine. 17 HP, 3 cyl diesel.
I guess the ROPS just got in the way when looking forward?
Sun was in her eyes as she was facing east and it was about two hours from sunset?
Dog barked and distracted her?
I just stopped asking questions about a few things.

Before you ask your wife how [i:654c4848f0]her horse trailer fender[/i:654c4848f0] got dented,
ask yourself if you really desire to have that pain.

Having the dent in [i:654c4848f0]her horse trailer[/i:654c4848f0] is bad enough.

Finding out she ran into [i:654c4848f0]your 65 Chevy truck[/i:654c4848f0] with it,
[i:654c4848f0]that made a much larger dent and bent the iron rear bumper almost 45o[/i:654c4848f0]
might cause you more pain.

Agree.
