Tire Rotation

I bought a new set of Bridgestone tires for my truck.
Paperwork (Brochure) recommends tires be rotated every 5K miles.
Is this something new with all tires, or just Bridgestone?
In the past, I rotated every 10K miles. Can't find the owners manual to see what manufacturer recommends.
I change my oil every 7K miles
 
Makes easy to rotate at 5000 miles in multiplies(5,000,10,000,15,000,etc.)and at the same time change oil.
 
I think 5k is to often. Lets say you have a set of tires that last 60k miles, that would be 11 rotations during life of tire, that can add up to quite a bit. I rotate my own at about 15 k and don't balance unless I can feel vibration while driving. I can't remember the last time I paid for a balance.
 
I change oil and rotate tires every 5,000-6,000 miles. Get pretty good wear out of tires following that routine.
 
In 1996, bought a brand new GMC 4x4 pickup. Rotated the tires every 5000 miles.
They lasted about 50000 miles. In 2009, got another new GMC 4x4. Never rotated
tires, just changed them for snows and put the same tire on the same wheel when
changing. They lasted about 50000 miles. Now, I never bother to rotate on schedule,
but I will swap side to side or front to back if the wear pattern is uneven. Never
had a flat due to tire failure, usually the belts let go when the tread is just
about done anyways. Never had alignment issues, but I did have to change ball
joints at 100000 miles which were causing tire wear.

I change oil and filter about every 5K and rotate tires every other time(10K). Thats on a 2014 Chev Silverado 4wd.

Rotated my tires at 30000. Has 50000 now.
Think will go another 10000 easy.F250 4x4. Think if I didn't pull trailers, I wouldn't rotate at all. Run synthetic Valvoline oil. 7000 mile oil changes, think would be all right to go a year or 20000 mi. Last F250 traded at 150000, never had any trouble except burned up both exhaust manifolds.
 
The Goodyear's on my wife's car have womb to the tomb free rotations every other oil change, amounts to 6000 miles.
 

I rotate mine every time I change the oil cuzz I can.... Practice some kind of tire management just because someone else gets away with it don't mean you will and it cost to fudge up a set of tires...

I don't believe in extended oil changes either...
 

It is not that important on 4x2 but on all wheel drive it is very important because you need keep all four tires at the same wear level.
 
I owned a tire shop for 22 years. Most people don't rotate tires, put them on and run them. If their not
wearing bad, why? My BFG's on my trailer pulling truck have 48000 miles on them and never been rotated,
they'll easily run another 200000 miles.
