Well that's bad

Looks like I'm gonna buy a tire soon. Moved tractors out of barn yesterday. Did some cleaning up in there,an hour later went to move tractors to new shed and found a huge buldge on the Oliver tire. Other side has a brand new 11.2 x 38. Anyone got a decent used tire within 250-300 miles of Central AL? Then again maybe a new one to match? What about irrigation tires? Good bit cheaper.......

Kevin, seeing that made my eyes water.... better prop it up and let the air out and maybe/maybe not the tube will be salvageable. I had a single front on an F12 that looked the same, and before I could get the air let out, it blew.
I don't know anything about irrigation tires- maybe 4 ply? I would think that a 6 ply on that tractor should be fine, vs extra cost of an 8 ply.

Pulled valve stem core and let most of the air out, drove it to shed. Plan to get 6x6 chunks today and crib it up. Good thing Dave drove it when he did!

Yeah, I think you might have something wrong with your tire there.

Good luck. It took me 2 years of trolling the interweb before I found a decent 80+% used tire for my Deere. They're out there, but they don't come up often in those old sizes.

Nice tractor though.

Dave?s fault, he kept driving in circles, stressed the sidewall. For me I?d buy 2 new. Seems like someone?s idea of 75% on a tire is way different than mine.

When I was still peddling freight I had a few tire shops that I checked off and on for decent used tires for my "restoree's." Just a thought. gm

It looks like it is ready to give birth. Do you know what the gender is? I shouldn’t joke about your misfortune but can’t resist. If you aren’t in a hurry and if you get the word out you might find a good used tire close by. A couple months ago I thought I would never find a pair of used 13.6 36’s for a tractor I am already way under water with. I eventually talked to the right person who knew of someone who might have a pair. From the conversation I ended up with a pair of very old tires that hold air for cheap that will keep the tractor rolling for a good many years, I hope.

Heck man, it's an Oliver, don't toss good money after bad. Just send it to the crusher!

My tire guy just texted back. Brand new tire and tube $203 + tax. Looks like I should get a new one.
