Any good or bad to look for on a JD 670!!?? Less than 2000 hours on it, starts right up. Got one at work I might be able to get. Is it robust enough to pull a five foot finishing mower?

They are 18 HP, as an example, my DEERE "400" garden tractor is 19.9 HP and handles it's 5' undermounted mower very well.

I see on tractordata where it has an unsynchronized 8 speed transmission, not what I would want for mowing. I would of thought they would of had a hydrostatic.

The model 655 would of been the hydro model.

IIRC the factory offered a 60" belly mower. Should handle one fine unless you have really thick heavy grass ?

Bullet proof simple gear drive tractor. Check and see if the PTO is independent. It was an option. A lot of them where ordered to be as cheap as they could be and did not have Independent PTO. Rated 16 Pto hp so they would run a 5 foot finishing mower if you kept reasonable with mowing.

Thanks for the input, guys. Just found out from a co-worker that one company bulk bought all our used tractors!! Got all excited for nothing!!
