Anitfreeze in Oil!

I posted this on the Case forum but wanted to add it here in also.
I have a Case 930 Gas. Has 2400 hours on a working Tach. Very straight tractor with Allied 595 loader. I changed oil and found antifreeze when I dropped the plug. Engine runs great. To the best of my knowledge it has never been overheated. Where do I start? Fix or replace? Anybody have luck adding stop leak?

Start with a compression test. Moroso ceramic engine sealer will work on some cracks in heads . It has mixed reviews ,it works or does not. Sealer doesn't take much effort.

It's likely the o-rings on the bottom of the sleeves. Pull the oil oand and look for where it's coming from to confirm. For that low hours you can likely pull the sleeves and replace them for the cost of o-rings and a gasket kit.

Crazy things happen to rubber products left in an environment that fluctuates 300 degrees or more for 50 to 70 years.

i would also guess sleeves leaking. had an 800 with leaking sleeves. darned things even leaked when the water was drained out.

BUT. it could be head crack too. Since its a gaser that is easy to look for. pull the spark plugs and take a peak inside and see if you see any antifreeze.

the 800 i had with leaking sleeves also had 2 cracked heads. both heads had drops of antifreeze dangling from the valve that you can see thru the spark plug hole. the730/930 heads are slightly different but generally the same overall design with a couple improvements.

good luck. great tractors but you'll need to fix your problem before you wipe out the bearings

I'll Side with jon...liner seals shot. Usual cause is lack of maintenance with the cooling system, worn out antifreeze with the additives depleted, coolant not changed regularly. Sealer won't fix this, remove the liners and replace the seals. Anti freeze and engine oil don't mix, you can go from leaky liner seals to spun bearings real quick. If you tear it down and fix the seals install a coolant filter or use the test strips and add coolant conditioner(NAPA sells both) annually to keep the system in good shape

No air bubbles showing up in radiator, so right now I am leaning towards O-rings on sleeves.
