I made it!!! I have to go back to work Wednesday and I really wanted to get this done over shut

down. I got carried away Sunday drilling holes with the 5/8" hole saw and stripped all the teeth off of it. I went to town this AM and couldn't find another, so I bought a 5/8 drill bit and used that to finish drilling holes.

The main part is done, but I will have to tweek it later as time and weather permits. I need to add a lower step to make it easier to get on and off of the tractor. I'm thinking about reinforcing the big mounting plates with stiffeners.

BUT, it's basically done, I'm beat and glad to be this far along. I can pick up the blade and move it around, if we get a really big snow, I'm ready to try it out. Chris
 
Nice to be at a place you want to be with a project isn't it? Looks good, you should be able to move some snow with that rig if you have to.
 
It looks good. Now you just have to put a 55 gallon barrel filled with steel/concrete for some counter weight.
 
I'm not sure about adding and weight to it. It has 18.4x38 tires with fluid and 1 weight on each wheel. I would rather have the wheels spin a little instead of tearing something up. If I need to I can hang a 8' bush hog on the 3pt. Chris
 
Very Creative.... I do have to ask why you didn't simply put a loader on the tractor. With a loader, snow can be piled / pushed higher. Many more uses as well....
 
looks good, one suggestion to take a piece of 2to 3 in thick wall pipe and split it and put over cutting edge, this will keep the blade from digging in your gravel
 
That?s looks good . Also looks like with the blade fully raised you can turn a little further as well a blade would be handy in the snow
 
I already have a tractor and loader that does most of my lifting, it's not heavy enough to do much serious dirt work.
