Love seeing those old ads. I came across a 1938 paper, and in the classifieds they were selling cut-over timber land for $1 per acre. In going through the grocery ads, I found that you could buy that acre for the equivalent of 3 boxes of All-Bran cereal, or a dozen oranges.
 
Wow, that's awesome! What a rare treat to get to see an old newspaper....without all the pleasant smells of long-term storage. :wink:

Yes and I got a kick out of the article at the bottom of the front page, "October Proves Wettest Here in 12 Years." Sound familiar? History repeats itself.
