A white Christmas?

Prognosticators here all agree we need one inch of snow for it to be officially a white Christmas. Well, we got that overnight, and it should stay for a day or so. Friday's forecast is for rain and 45 degrees plus, not good for man nor beast. If you look closely at the centre of the picture you may see some round bales. Neighbour cut and bales oatlage sown after winter wheat harvest, wrapped and used to supplement dry hay stocks. Sure was odd watching him cut and bale while the snow was falling!

We got about the same in Exeter , Centash so it looks like a white Christmas with the cold temperature keeping the snow. We have family coming from Bayfield , Zurich and London for Christmas. Have a great Christmas and keep us posted on the Goderich weather ! LOL !
 
I like Winter, but I sure hate the transition part....you know, that "damp cold". I'll take -20F any day over a breezy 32F day!

Heck with snow,I just came from the river camp,checking things over. I am ready for summer.
 
Just came in from fighting with the roof rake. I have to revise my last estimate and say we got every bit of 8", maybe even 9".

But remember, forecasters said only 0.5" to 1", possibly 2" in extreme areas.
