The original subject was "Re: rural king tractors".

Rural King is selling RK Tractors, final assembly in the USA (meaning put on tires, ROPS and ??). They are built in South Korea by Tong Yang Moolsan (TYM), which is one of the main Korean builders. TYM also owns Kukje which builds Branson. TYM was originally based on Iseki designs (builders of Bolens, Massey Ferguson, White, AGCO & Challenger compacts).

TYM has sold under their brand in USA for several years, and have also been sold under Mahindra (still are), Montana, Sorpion, Millenium and Cabella's.

Rural King first sold tractors built in China by Jinma and Foton. I don't believe the Jiangxi shown in this thread was ever sold by RK. And they sold Massey Ferguson at 8 stores for awhile.

TYM seem to be rated well in terms of reliability and price.

BTW, my comment about RK Tractor's "final assembly" wasn't to dog them... Most all of the companies use this tactic to be able to claim their tractors are at least "Assembled in USA": Long/Farmtrac did it in North Carolina
Montana did it in Arkansas
Case IH (with Shibaura and LS sourced tractors)
New Holland (Shibaura and LS)
Mahindra
John Deere (Yanmar-sourced tractors)

etc....

So what is the point of your post??
There is a guy who lives in NW PA who has a heavily followed U Tube channel (Outdoors with the Morgan's) That was given 2 RK tractors to use and evaluate. They also gave Mike and family a large array of allied RK implements to use also. He has nothing bad to say about them, but neither would I, if the equipment was free for me to use. The family also has support from other companies, like Stihl and other firewood related equipment mfgs.

I was like you wondering what the point of the post. Rural King as he mentioned has tried several tractors. Until they offer parts and service I doubt they will ever make a dent in the tractor market. Who wants to buy a tractor only to have the dealer drop the brand 6 months latter.

Loren,
I would never own a tractor I couldn't fix or get parts for. Who will repair RK tractors?

"So what is the point of your post??" +1.

Sounds like a sales ad to me. I have 2 Bransons, 6530C and 2400. Bought the first in 2007 new and the second in 2016 without shopping because I liked the first one. Both have Cummins licensed engines. Pull up the Kukje Machine Co. (South Korean mfgr. of Branson) on the www and you can see just how many colors THEY manufacture and yes green and yellow are represented there too. My take is that TYM wanted the Cummins engine license and the production lines.
