What's your preferred under
ground fence for dogs!!?? We
got an eight week old
Lab/German Shepherd mix a
couple of weeks ago and are
looking to put in an
"invisible fence" for her to
keep her contained. I just wonder if there's any one brand that might have advantages over others. I'll put it in myself as my BIL has something to bury the wire with. Thanks!!

If you have an open area the wireless ones work great. I have a Pet Safe brand for my dog.

We have a one acre area fenced off with PetSafe with #10 wire buried in conduit. No more varmint chewing problems. VERY pleased.

I have a petsafe system still in the ground, but no dog anymore. If I did it again I'd do what we did at my Daughter's place. Get a roll of fence wire and some T posts and put it up. Will keep most any dog in and even more important keep the neighbors dogs out !

My wife worked with our dog for about 6 months. We have no fence of any kind and the dog does not go outside where we have establish its bounds.

I have a (very) visible fence. Works even better. Especially when electrified.

We put a crap load of money into an Invisible Fence system, followed the instructions to a "T". Worthless thing never, ever worked. I could barely get a reading if I passed the collar on the ground right over the wire. Complete waste of money!
