Conflict in reporting. This is when you see how messed up news reporting is in America today. It was on my local big time radio station and they had a sound bite of her saying "I smoke and thats it". So I don't know what to tell you.
 
Found were it came from. Lazy reporters! In 2010 she had a brain tumor and spot of lung cancer. Surgery and had 12 radiation treatments. The other reports are more factually correct? Oh well.
 
Must have been sudden. At a football game this weekend (Rams, I think) the camera panned to her in the stands and the commentators made mention of it.
