OT: grain bin rent

I am in northeast Nebraska but would like to know
what rental rates are for grain bins. This is just storage, no fans or burners. Thanks

Here in commercial storage it is 18 cents for the first 90 days then 3 cents a month after that.

They provide the equipment to fill and unload the bin as well. They are also responsible for the grains condition while in storage and carry the insurance.

I use commercial storage and would not pay over 10 cents a year for on farm storage.

You may find someone to pay more though.

I get 10 cents a bushel and they usually unload it within 4 to 6 months. They pay for all the upkeep and are responsible for the condition of the grain. 2 bins at 15000 bu. each.

Tennessee and I am just like you but what we do is contract the corn for fall then put it in OUR bins , get a check Jan 1st then rent starts at 5 cents per bu per month. Grain is theirs , I do furnish unloading to the trucks when they start hauling and lots of years if we are not busy we get the hauling. Usually start pulling it out June and sometimes goes to early August before ever thing is empty. Been doing this for years for the same folks. Some years the rent profit is pretty good .

A common thing is 10 cents a bu for the year, the whole bin use it or not.

This assumes nothing extra, no frills, typical old bin.
