2012 Kubota M108S

Looking to buy a Kubota 108S has 1234 hours but it pops out of gear for first and second the rest of the gears are ok anybody know how big the fix this is

Could be as simple as a broken detent spring, also could be as complicated as a tractor split to replace damaged gears or bearings. Either way it is going to require some exploratory disassembly

My cousin sold a 10 yr old Massey with transmission troubles. What they did was price it as repaired no matter what the expense and my cousin paid to get it fixed. What they thought was just electrical was a $4500 repair. He got what the tractor was worth in the end as is whatever that was and the buyer got a good sound tractor.

Ken been 6 years or so but I think we had an update on the low gear shaft where the schronizers were improved. Sure do not want to talk you out of the tractor but. Just splitting one labor is well over a thousand and seems to me the kit was around $600.00 or so. If you cannot absorb % 2500.00 and feel you got a deal on the tractor my thinking is I would pass. Over all the 108s are a good tractor. There is a feature called SWING SHIFT on some of them , what transmission does this tractor have.
