one my customers operators run this out of oil water tell it came to a stop the fan pulley failed but he never noticed the temp or lack oil pressure any way we replaced it with a long block from reliance engine now thy don't require a core so i have this engine in my shop it has a spun rod bearing on number 2 i have had the head off and it look good.. block good had no oil leaks except the one the fan pulley wore into the front gear case that i made a repair to to see if it was a ruined any way it is for sale it a cummings 8.3 reach me a bbrown56 at hotmail.com

i guess i have to try to do better next time i post something i have you preview it and get your permission make sure it meets your standards

just devils advocating here, not taking sides, but how many post on TRACTOR TALK are about tractors? i dont see them getting called out in quite the same way. its one thing to ask if Ben posted in the classifieds as well, but to point out how this is a "fenced" forum for tractors...but not saying anything on any other topic not related to tractors in tractor talk is a bit hypocritical id say.

and its just an internet forum, dont take any of it personal. dont like the topic, dont respond, pretty simple. no sense in being angry, Christmas is just around the corner, smile, Jesus would :)

tlock, I don't read here that Ben was "called out". What I see is that Jim simply tried to be helpful. I am at a loss as to how you could call Jim's response "angry". I see Ben's response as sarcastic and for no reason.
 

Where's this classified section at?

As for the 8.3, if it's just a long block with no inj pump or turbo it's not worth much, I have trucks with 8.3's but don't have room for a spare engine, let alone one needing a crank.
 
Maybe he was thinking somebody needed an 8.3 for their tractor, like a larger White or some red ones. So yes tractor related, and fits in this category.
