Regaurding some of the scam posts. A while back and I may not have the details 100% It used to be called the "golden fiddle or golden watch scam" A restaurant got it good!!! Guy gets a meal and tells them he forgot his cash/ credit card at the motel but would be right back. Meanwhile he left a gold watch as security. Enter player number 2 gets pie coffee and sees the watch tells restaurant owner/manager that is was quite valuable. Manager tells him what happened, Man #2 says not to worry if the guy doesn't return he will give him $5-6000 for the watch and would be back around closing time. Player number one returns to pay for meal and tells them he is traveling, down on his luck etc. Owner offers him lots of loot for the watch 2-3000 I guess, which he accepts. NOW THE OWNER IS GOING TO MAKE 2-3000 QUICK RIGHT?? Well player number 2 never did come back and the watch was a cheap flea market fake!!! The owner manager felt like the dumbest stone on the planet. I could not believe this got pulled off but it did. The restaurant is now closed!!!

Hey, that happened to my dad in the mid-50's when he owned a restaurant. I always wondered why he shut the place down. Well, at least it wasn't because the food was bad ..... LOL !!!

I once heard of a fellow who walked into a restaurant and ordered a bowl of soup.

When the bowl of soup was brought, he said, "I've changed my mind. I'll trade you the bowl of soup for a hot dog".

The bowl of soup was picked up and in due time the hot dog was served.

The fellow ate the hot dog, got up, and started to walk out. The cashier shouted, "Wait, you didn't pay for your hot dog!"

The fellow said, "Yes I did, I traded you the bowl of soup for it".

The cashier replied, "But you didn't pay for the soup."

The fellow said, "And I didn't eat the soup, either", and was out the door before the cashier figured it out.

When in the military at Fort Story Va. A fellow soldier told that he did that in a restaurant in Virginia Beach. I wondered if he told the truth. His story w3as a piece of pie and a bowl of ice cream

I got the (now old robo call) this morning asking me questions to be answered with YES or NO questions. My answers were all NO and for some strange reason I was disconnected. Imagine that!!!
