I have a workmaster 75. I have had it since 2012 and have 500 some hours on it. If you need a tractor for heavy work especially loader work its not the one for you. Its a very light tractor and light loader from NH on it. Loader hydraulics are slow in my opinion. Its all mechanical with no extra push button gismo?s which is nice for simplicity. I have 600 lbs of weight on the rear axle and always keep some thing on the three point for extra ballast for moving round bales. I need to put calcium in the rears. The drawbar is bolted under the rear end and rather light for a 75 hp machine. The front wheel assist is hard to shift due to driveline torque requiring you to backup usually to get it to shift out. The transmission is nonsynchronized so you need to be stopped to do any shifting. The engine has been solid and has plenty of power for what i do with it. If it was my only loader tractor it would be gone tomorrow but it works fine for me as a secondary light loader tractor.

Bill in Ill,

Thanks for the answers. I just want something heavier than a compact. Have you had an problems breaking front rims around the bolt holes? How has the clutch held up? Do you curse the lack of a shuttle? I questioned the strength of the loader frame, have you bent or broken anything? It is a 625TL loader. Any front axle problems. Does it start in the cold? Do you have to tear the tin off to get to the battery to put a charger on?

We had a T4030 for a little over a year as a main loader tractor on a 60 cow dairy. It might be a close relative? It had a 20? 4 single bolt front rim setup. Rims frequently cracked, very light front wheel bearings. Lots of misery in a short period of time. Now if your doing light infrequent small jobs it may be great if it?s similar to the one we had.

I have not broke any rims on mine as i take things pretty easy normally and my round bales are only about 1000lbs. I would not want to handle much more with this tractor. Mine has the same 625tl loader its not meant for heavy work.

The clutch has held up well but i rarely move manure or rock with this one where i would be hard on a clutch. A shuttle shift would be very nice but i think it was out of the budget when they built this one. Just having some syncros would be a great upgrade as i have another loader with similar shift and syncros its much nicer to run.

The battery is easy to get to just lift the hood and its right there in front of the radiator. Of course the loader is in the way. It starts well down to about 20 degrees. I addded a block heater for colder days and that really helped.

If your expecting to lots of scooping and other rough loader work i would look at the t4 or t5 series tractors. The workmaster they took a small frame tractor and added gearboxes at the rear axle to lengthen the tractor and get a longer wheelbase and bigger rear tires which made the rear end very light. I can get by fine with it as all my heavy work is done with a wheel loader but i would be in trouble if it was my primary machine.
