SVcummins posted below about photos of plowing jobs. Thanks SV, I really enjoyed all the photos. Good Topic. Looks to me like Adirondack Case Guy really has his plow tuned up nicely.

I stopped and got this picture in the 60's of the M.M., some years later dad was driving the A.C.

Most of us older guys grew up plowing, and understand all the reasons for having every thing set correctly, wheel settings are where it starts. We wore a lot of plow parts out in the 60's and 70's,,and around here it was important to keep the water ways tripped right and the ends straight, and never drive on plowed ground. If you could tell how many bottoms were used by looking across the field you were not doing it right. I still enjoy plowing,,the smell of fresh plowed ground brings back thoughts of my youth..

I hate when I can tell the One pass from the next I like it to look smooth like it was one big plow that did the whole field I don?t always get it that way though . I think my wheels are to narrow for the f130 .

This 642 does the best job of plows i use you can still see a little ridge between passes . After looking closely I found fix it again tony was selling me 14 inch shares and pitchers was selling me the 16 inch for cheaper than cnh wanted for the 14 😡 so I have two different width shares

I have not done a lot of plowing. Maybe only a total of 30 acres over the years, which were my hay fields. I once plowed with my 4 year old son and his buddy on my lap. For about 15 minutes until they were both asleep. When my son was about 8, I was plowing up another 4 acres. That time he ran around the field the entire time throwing himself in the soft turned earth. It was just the sort of thing I would have done at that age. Boys and dirt are inseparable. He is 25 now. Time does go by.

Fully concur on not being able to distinguish one pass form the next.
Never had any such issue plowing with my Farmall Super A and one bottom plow though! LOL

I enjoy everyones plowing pics too. I fear that soon the only place I can plow will be at some tractor club plow day. Here I am plowing on my FIL's farm and know how lucky I was to have the opportunity to work my tractors.

Anyone ever have trouble with the SUN Warping the Furrows..??

Seems I blamed it on the Sun a few times..same for Corn Rows..!!

I wish I had pictures of when we were plowing. We were pulling Melro 12 bottoms 24 inches. Had 4 plows in a field. Could plow 640 acres a day.

Wow,, that would be some thing to see.. we use to plow with a 8630 and 7X16 ,,a 4630 with 6X16, and a 4230 and 4430 with 5X16 we could get 150 acres a day but long days,,and a lot of plow parts...

Wow! Those multiple hitches must be a challenge to get adjusted.

I'm loving those pictures. They are all good pictures but I found the 70 and 620 to be pretty sweet.
