Does anyone know what diesel farmall engine would bolt into a farmall h. I was thinking a d188 any knowledge would be appricated
(quoted from post at 06:41:28 12/09/18) My farmall C has no frame. The engine bolts to the bell housing which bolts
to the transmission.
I can't see reinventing a wheel. There are too many issues to consider first.
When Ford made the Jubilee, they used the 8N rear end which wasn't built for
the bigger engine.
Many can add to the issues created when a bigger engine was added on old rear
end. I think, could be wrong, IH had an issue using the M rear end when it
upsized the engine.
The people who pull tractors may have a better idea of the issues you will
face putting more Hp to a Farmall H.
And that would do it.(quoted from post at 15:43:27 12/09/18) There was also a kit to put a Detroit 2-71 in an M!
