Many of you have posted about Jonsered. Far as I know the brand has been all but discontinued. 2017 was the last full year. Husqvarna group kept the name for some home owner products similar to poulan. They combined some dealer distributors with the red max brand and carried a few (very few) models over in the red max line. There is technically no Jonsered servicing dealers now. Just thought I would throw this out there.

That's too bad, I have been using Jonsered since about 1967. I have noticed that Menards sells the saws, but they sell other brands too. Our local L&M in MN sells Jonsered, Husqvarna, and Stihl, I would imagine they will have parts for Jonsered for a long time. I haven't needed any parts for over 20 years, other than chains. 45 years ago I was told Stihl was the most reliable, but heavy, Husqvarna cut the fastest, but Jonsered was the best all around saw.

Most stores like tsc has dropped them and gone to husky. There may be a few 38cc sold as jred in some stores.

To go down another road. On U'tube there are a lot of videos about the Chinese saws on the market. Some of them have gotten pretty good reviews. Just take a look if you want to. One guy really likes the Yuzhoukee saws. Blue in color.

By the way. I plugged that name into the translator program in my smart phone. Loose translation. "The Universe is OK". Sounds good to me.

A local shop sold Jonsered products back in the 90s. I bought a weed trimmer , not sure of the model but it sure has been good. The only part I replaced was the head when it would not release the line. Other than that it has been maintenance free for probably close to 20 years. I did have to open up the recoil start and re-wind the rope when it got tangles while starting.
