Heard through the grape vine some of you were wondering what was new and exciting in the life of Bryce!
I've been super busy with work, which is still installing flooring products with a buddy out of our local Carpet1, and my newest adventure, buying and selling cars... I've been buying Chevrolets that need transmissions, removing them, having a buddy rebuild, and then replacing / detailing / and selling the cars, and letting him in on the profit, and so far we've been doing very good!
Casey is doing outstanding at college, she was on the Deans list last year, and has maintained excellent grades this year, and will be spending Christmas here with us. She is also still very in love, with her Chevy Blazer dad and I built for her that is.
Now that the reading is over with, how about some pictures??
This was the start of my harvest season, hay, which ended in a pile about 2x that size! I picked and stacked every bale while Barry (pictured) drove "Jolly" my 1965 C60.
Then in the fall Barley Harvest with the SuperM and AC-60, and Straw with the TO-30.
Another new prospect is Crawfish! The neighbor and I have started trapping them in Lake Pend Oreille, this was our first batch, and much to our surprise and satisfaction, they are nearly identical to Lobster! And a LOT cheaper....
Fall also brought the local Injectors Car Show, which of course means Dad got his toys out...
After the farming was done for the year, I made a run to Southern Oregon to see Casey, and her new best friend...
In more recent news, I spent last weekend getting the Meyer snow plow put onto my 1995 K1500, which sadly, due to safety reasons, brings the retirement of our beloved Shreck, who is now on fire wood duty only.
Blue is the newest addition to my toy shed, a 1985 K20 Chevrolet, 350 / 4spd. A neighbor lady bought this truck brand new from the local Chevrolet dealer where my dad has worked for a huge portion of his career. Blue has been completely repainted, and is nearly a flawless truck. The gal decided that she wanted Blue to go to her "forever" home, and felt I was the only guy in the county that would take care of her. So she made me a deal I couldn't pass on. Blue also won 1st place in Stock 79 to 85 truck this year at our local car show!
Other than that, I don't have a lot more to report on! They are calling for temperatures in the low Teens here tonight in North Idaho, but amazingly we are still snow free!
I wish you all happy holidays, and hope all is well. Talk to you all soon! Bryce
