Big news for farmers today

Was listening to the radio in rural Mn today and the radio guy said "rural areas are where most farmers live". I just thought I should share that in case you were unaware.

That is as good as the news report I read yesterday about a water problem at Clemson U and the surrounding area. Something about one of two pumps quit and while repairs were made, they asked people to conserve water. They asked that you do not irrigate or run pressure washers. Heck, it has been so cold, only fools would would be out doing those things right now.
Glad I have a good well and a backup pump and a generator to run it if needed.

Say it ain't so! You mean farmers don't live in penthouses?!?!????

That does it. I no longer wanna be a farmer-wannabe!

My friend made up a name for the some of the young boys in NJ.The ones that are wiseguys, with big fancy pickups with black smoke billowing,,,He calls them Condo Cowboys

The folks in the metro area, especially the political machine there, would actually be surprised to learn that I believe......

When they offer to ?help rural Minnesota? with some free money or programs, the money goes to Duluth, Rochester, St. Cloud, and maybe Mankato. Because those are the backwards rural communities of the state...... helps everyone that way.....

Well now I guess that explains why I have this lingering smell of the egg plant, pig farm, and turkey farm. The constant milk truck traffic had me puzzled and I was wondering why no one was piling shopping carts in the neighbors hayfield. I can go forward with a much clearer understanding of where I?m at. Thanks for sharing Jon.

Sounds discriminatory.

ou need to stop listening to government radio....PBS!

Years ago I read in the Timber Times magazine that 70% of the US population lived within 50 miles of an ocean.I never checked the accuracy of that statement,(something I almost always do)but it does look like it could well be true.If you fly over Boston in a small plane, once you get beyond the suburbs two more minutes of flying will make you think you are in another country. Some highways and houses here and there, but a lot more wooded land than you would think.

that explains why my neighbors are so far apart and why I have cows in the front yard.
OH Shut those rascals are out!

I remember hearing of a government study, costly no doubt, that if the floor in your barn was wet or hadn manure on it it might be slick. Glad we have tose people to figure things out for us.

I don't presume where people live. They are free to self identify as living where ever they please.

Several large farmers in my area live away from the farm on lakes with the rich city folks.

Thankyou Mr. radio for pointing out the blatenly obvious. That's like the warning on the milk carton that says--this product contains milk---
