I was a neighbor's farm sale today in SW WI. Deere 3020 gas side console wide front $3950,Deere 4040 quad and cab $13,000,IH 1066 good TA $8,000,6600 combine, hydro good condition $4800,444 head with poly$1500 and nice 913 grain platform $1800. 7200 Deere conservation 4 row planter with dry fertlizer very nice $6600. Deere 336 baler good $2050. Deere 3950 chopper big hay head and green 2 row wide corn head $2450. Tom

Thought about the 3020 and should have bought the 3950 chopper as the heads alone will bring that next year. I have enough projects here to last all winter and then some. My youngest son recently bought two 2510's that both need to go through the shop for a few things as well. Tom

Sounds like some bargains, except for the planter. Wow! I didn't think there was any interest in a four row. I have an elderly neighbor with a good working 7000 for sale. We've been trying to get him used to the idea it isn't going to bring much. Maybe it should get hauled out your way!

You forgot the 10' 8300 grain drill single disk for $3600!

I bought a couple old 5 bottom semi-mount John Deere plows.

F145 for $225
F1450 with broken tail wheel for $125

Bob, if that planter is very good mechanically and only has minor rust issues it should be worth 1800-2000 dollars around our area. If it is very clean with very good paint then 2500 or more. I would have said 3000 but think with the problems in the farm economy and more retirement sales that might be asking too much. I know some BTO's were buying them for small odd shaped fields.

Bob,
It was a 4 row wide conservation planter with a 7X7 frame. Lil' different than a 7000 with a 7X4 frame. But yeah, the price was higher than expected. A couple weeks ago, I went to a sale and there was a rougher 7000 4rw that brought $800.

I don't know what I'd be willing to pay to get it back if I ran across my old 4040. I'd like to bring it back home if I could and the price was reasonable.
