A pickup went across a bridge this morning and came to rest hugging the guard rail. It was misting and 28. Good thing it was a single truck accident.

Local news said we had 28 accidents this morning because of black Ice.
Watch out, drive slower.

It?s a bad time for black ice warm days and cold nights melts a little snow then gets cold and freezes

Most cars are front wheel drive. No one uses show tires on cars.
Trucks aren't. So is that why I saw a truck slid off the road? Or was he just driving too fast? Or just rear wheel drive?

most skids are due to poor throttle management. Never try to accelerate or even maintain speed on an icy bridge. Slight trailing throttle is best. Just back off a little not even enough to feel the slow down, just a little. Works for me. Even uphill on ice, better to lose some speed than spin out.
