Was doing some research on Motor oils and came across this stuff called FHS Smokeless Oil They claim you can drain your old oil out change oil filter add this oil and your engine will quite smoking. has anyone tried it?? Just wondered if it really works could be great for old tired engines that do not run a lot. It is very pricey per quart. check it out there is a video on U-tube explaining it may be just a bunch of bull to.

I've never tried smokeless oil for a 4 stroke, but I remember back in my boating days, running factory OMC or Mercury 2 stroke oil vs the off brand oils made a world of difference on smoke and plug fouling.

Have a friend who put synthetic oil in his Ferguson 50, which was fouling plugs and smoking. Hasn't fouled a plug in years. Still smokes some. He just uses it to till his garden.

Let's see, no indication the product meets any API, ISO or other specification.

A check of the MSDS says it's 99 percent "FHS Proprietary Oil (Non-Hazardous Synthetic Oil)".

And it costs 17 bucks a quart.

What could POSSIBLY go wrong?

That stuff has been around for quite a while. Reviews are quite easy to find via search. Basically if you are seeking to fix oil consumption you are throwing money down a hole. However if you are embarrassed by the smoke cloud behind your car or live where smoke will cause you to fail emissions testing then it will help. I wouldn't waste my money but I am a bottle fix cynic by nature.
