So the wife and I are going to try moving from New Mexico to Arkansas and of course I'll be taking my John Deere 52A. My Son and daughter in law live in Oklahoma city. This will be a 5 hour drive from son's to our new place.

Beautiful area, we would go there to get away when in ABQ.

Is the green chili cheese burger place still off I25, forgot the name?

I live in Veguita, 50 miles south of Albuquerque. We close on the property in January. Outside of Garner is the town in Arkansas. Horses, goats and live stock guardian dogs.

800 Miles, are you moving any other equipment in the same trip? Get some quotes to move the A, probably between $800 to $3,000. If you don't have a sentimental attachment to the tractor you could probably sell it and buy another or upgrade tractors for far less than the cost to move it.

Mogester , what a move. Guess you will love the summers but you are going to experience more winter for sure. Will not be a cheap move , I did not really understand your question. Just have to get a trailer and something to pull the old John Deer. Like several pointed out unless it is something special would be a lot cheaper to sell out there and pick up something newer on this end. Apply that hauling cost to the newer tractor.

I'll bring the A, means to much too part with. It will be a big move, but there is power and water by the lot. We have been living off grid for 6 years here in New Mexico.I spend 8 hours a week hauling water.

Helped my BIL move from Illinois to Texas, He sold his tractor and tools here and bought new in Tx. Gave me more stuff than I needed or wanted, a few more trips with a pickup and a trailer wouldn't have cost that much.

Welcome to Arkansas. Hope you don't get claustrophobic living amongst a lot of trees. :D Hope your humidity tolerance is high, too. I

Looks like we will not be more that about an hour apart. It looks like I will be getting transferred to Ark for my work. Not that I am complaining since for me it will be moving back home. I will be moving to the Russellville area.
