Looking for a vintage tractor

Hi,
I'm looking for a vintage tractor that has 3 point, pulley, gas engine/propane OK, that can pull a 9,000 lb container (on wheels) to different parts of my acreage. I'm partial to Allis Chalmers, it doesn't need to be a beauty queen, just a good solid old tractor. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.
We had a 3 wheel AC on our NY farm back in the 70's, I'd like it to be that kind of set up.

That could be quite a challenge with AC. A series IV D17 could get you a real 3 point hitch, but, the pump for that system was placed where the belt pulley used to be!!!!!
Finding a D19 with 3 point is probably like finding hens' teeth, let alone finding one with a belt pulley also.

Yep, and then factor in tugging around 9000 lbs safely especially if hills are involved eliminates a lot of options within AC. Belt equipped is going to be hard to find in sizable HP regardless of the brand. If it did not have to be AC I would recommend an IH 806/856 or Oliver 1850 then look for some type of universal attach belt drive to slip over the back PTO shaft.

So you would be pulling a 160 bu wagon to put it on terms a simple farmer like me could relate to.

By ?three wheel tractor? you mean a narrow front, some might be a single front tire, most are actually 2 tires next to each other. They can usually turn much shorter, but
they give a rougher ride and steer harder. Also take less room in the shed or on a trailer.

So you are looking for about a 35-50 hp tractor with a narrow front, a pulley, and a 3pt. And AC brand would be preferred.

The older AC tractors had their own special quick coupler, a Snap Coupler (Ford /Ferguson owned the patent rights to the 3pt specs for quite a few years no one else
could exactly copy), the Snap Coupler can be converted to a modern 3pt but it?s not always perfect match as to lift height, angles, etc.

The newer AC tractors with a real 3pt tended to not have a belt pulley. About the time the 3pt went off patent and everyone started using it, belt pulleys went away and
the rear pto became the standard power transfer.

Older tractors were commonly narrow front. Newer tractors are more commonly wide front. Narrow front were popular with corn pickers and other row crop stuff. Wide
front ended up a lot nicer, and so replaced the narrow front into the 1960s as mounted corn picking faded away.

Just for some reference as to what you are looking for, and the options you will find.

Do you need a belt pulley or PTO? What do you still use the belt for? I'd say a 170, 180, 185 would all be good choices. Depends on the terrain and footing pulling that much weight.

Still in NY or where now?

Is this what you had in mind?

Bottom line is 10K is a lot of weight to safely move around with smaller tractor, especially if hills.

So tell me, what do you need a pulley for? Buzz saw perhaps. By pulley do you actually mean belt pulley or are you confusing it with pto?

My thoughts as well and once you start talking 60 HP in a gas tractor price-wise you are only a short jump away from an 80-90 HP tractor. An 806 or 856 or 1850 gas could be found for around 3500 dollars in good mechanical condition and maybe less with a little luck. If the tractor is getting used for maybe 10-20 hours per month for maybe 6-8 months then the gas usage is tolerable. If the tractor is getting run 8 hours per day 20 days per month then he will tire of the gas consumption for any gas tractor versus a diesel.

I have a belt pulley for a 180, 185, 190....also have a D19 diesel with factory 3pt for sale....in WA state.

my Case 800 in the photo ads (couldn't resist the opportunity to put in a sales plug) would work. but. not belt pulley.

to get all your options could be hard other than maybe a Cockshut 50. they had 3pt and belt pulley and could handle that much weight. maybe an early Oliver 1800 or 1600 might have the belt pulley and 3pt and certainly available in gas.

Thanks to all, heres some more information. The reason for hauling a container is just to get the empty 40 ft container to the back of my property, its in Florida and its all flat, so this will be a one time tug to the spot for two empty shipping containers that I need to place so I can tear down my old barn and have the new arch steel building put in place, as a hurricane shelter and a work shop, my current barn is a junk disaster of added on buildings to a pole barn that the previous owners built,..its got to go!! The containers will be on axle's that I built for transport.
The rub is that I finally got my girl to OK the purchase of a tractor,but....it has to do everything. End of world PTO attachments waterpump for the well, generator for back up power. small plow, and disc for 3 acre garden and anything else 3 point hitch that I can find and or build. The pulley if for a buzzsaw. I have to be able to convert to propane if need be. I can do all that with the gas engine.
I personally have a thing for the old orange girl we had on our farm, it was a legit three wheel Allis, and I literally spent my childhood on that tractor in upstate NY on a 400 acre farm. I'm not even sure what model it was, I know it was smaller than a WD and it had one tire in front on a solid steel wheel. So I would like to have everything with one tractor.
Attachments (3 point) tow capability (as described above) nostalgia, because I miss that orange tractor, and it has taken me 5 years to convince my girl that I need a bigger tractor, and now is my chance to jump before she changes her mind and makes me sleep in the barn with all my VW bugs......again.
I found a nice WD for sale in Wisconsin, but can't get the place to call me back or answer and email. It looks like it has everything but I cant tell about the 3 point, the photos are not that good.
Thanks for all your help, I've been off the farm now for almost 35 years and a lot of my knowledge is based on a 12 year old boy driving around an orange tractor.

The top pic is of the one I'm thinking of buying, can anyone give me some insight into the 3 point hitch, if it looks operational (except for the missing bar of course)

The second pic is the only pic I could find that was like our tractor from the farm that I practically lived on.

PTO driven buzz saws were made back in the day so that might be a preferable way to go unless it has to be belt for nostalgia reasons.
